State Finals

• Both Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 Iowa Personal Finance Challenge participants will be eligible to participate in the State Finals.

• The top 2 teams from each region in both the Fall & Spring will move on to the Iowa Finals.

• Students may participate in the Fall or Spring semester, but not both.

• State finals will be in Des Moines at TBD location.

Each team will be given a hypothetical family scenario. They will have one hour to create a PowerPoint/Google presentation on their financial recommendations for the family. Each team will have up to 10 minutes to present their financial plan to our panel of expert judges.

State Prizes

1st place team members: $150 each  2nd place team members: $50 each 3rd place team members: $25 each

National Competition / Prizes

• State champions will advance to National Finals in Lincoln, NE
• National Champions – each team member will receive $2,000 
• Runner Up – each team member will received $1,000 
• Third place – each team member will receive $500 
• fourth place - each team member will receive $250
