FinanceChallenge

Welcome to the 2021 Massachusetts Personal Finance Challenge! The testing site will be live from March 15, 2021- April 23, 2021!

The links on the left will allow MA teachers to register their student teams (starting on January 11, 2021) and to check the rules.

After teachers register, they create student teams of three to four students in the appropriate division - high school or middle school. Each teacher can register as many teams as they want.

The MA Personal Finance Challenge is a 30-question, rapid-fire exam with questions from categories on Income and Money Management, Spending and Credit, and Saving and Investing. Individual students will complete the Challenge online at their schools, under the supervision of their teachers, if schools are open, or at their homes (or other non-school location) if schools are closed under the supervision of a parent/guardian between March 15, 2021 and April 23, 2021. Each student will have 35 minutes to complete the exam.

First, second, and third place state team winners in the high school and middle school divisions, and in the Opportunity Zone division, will be recognized at an online awards ceremony to be held in May/June 2021.

This is a great online activity for your students to work on during this period of extended K-12 distance learning in MA.

Best wishes to you and your students,

Dr. Margaret Brooks, Executive Director, MA Council
