Rules

The Rules

Teams of 3-4 qualifying students must be registered and tested by February 20, 2026 to participate in the 2026 Arkansas Personal Finance Challenge.

There are two rounds of competition:

Round 1 ONLINE:
  • Students will have 35 minutes to answer 30 questions.
  • The challenge can not be paused and students can not skip questions.
  • Student team members do not need to complete the challenge together.
  • Students must complete the challenge without any outside assistance.
  • Teams must consist of 3-4 students, and the team score will be the sum of the team's top three scores.
  • Average Quiz Time for the team is used as the main tie-breaker.
  • One team per division/per school can qualify participate in the State Finals.
State Finals IN-PERSON:
  • Students will showcase their knowledge as they complete an economics exam focused on key concepts from micro, macro, and global economics. Students test individually and their scores are averaged for a team total.
  • Teams will receive information about the topic for the Team Presentation in advance of the competition. They will prepare a 6 minute presentation on the topic, print copies of their presentation, and be prepared to share and answer questions in front of judges.
  • Additional information will be provided to qualifying teams.
