Rules

Kentucky Personal Finance Challenge Rules

  • Students will have 35 minutes to answer 30 questions.
  • The challenge can not be paused and students can not skip questions.
  • Student team members do not need to complete the challenge together.
  • Students must complete the challenge without any outside assistance.
  • Teams must consist of 4 students, and the team score will be the sum of the team's top three scores.
  • Divisions
    • The High School Division is for students enrolled in a high school level personal finance course.
    • The Middle School Division is for students enrolled in a high school level personal finance course.
 
The top 4 teams from the High School Division and the top 2 from the Middle School Division will move on to the state competition!

State finalists will be assigned a fictional case-study with time to prepare a presentation sharing their recommendations for the fictional client before a panel of judges including economists, business leaders and financial professionals.

High School Division:

The KY Personal Finance Challenge Champions for the High School Division will get their transportation for the National Personal Finance Competition paid for in addition to the National Personal Finance Challenge covering all of their food, hotel, and event expenses.
