Registration is quite simple and free of charge to you and your students!

Delaware PFC Online Exams

Once you have registered as a teacher, you can begin to create as many teams of four students as you'd like. After creating your teams, you will be given unique access codes for each student. Distribute these access codes to your students when they are ready to take the online challenge.  A student may only participate in  one online challenge (either Fall or Spring, but not both).  An individual teacher may have some students compete in the Fall and different students compete in the Spring.

In the online competitions in the Fall and Spring, high school students use their unique access code to enter the Finance Challenge ONLINE. 

The online exam consists of questions from the following categories: Earning Income & Protecting and Insuring, Using Credit & Buying Goods and Services, and Saving & Financial Investing.

• Students complete the online exam individually (even though they are on a team)
• Students may only take the exam one time
• Exam consists of 30 questions
• Students have 35 minutes
• Students may go back to previous questions
• Exam may not be paused once started
• Teachers must monitor students during the online exam. Students may not use any materials (electronic or other) for assistance during the exam. The exam should be administered under typical testing environment conditions.

Scoring for the online exam:

• +10 points for each correct answer
• 0 points for each incorrect answer
• All questions must be answered

Each member of the highest scoring team from the online exam in both the Fall and the Spring will win a $25 gift card.  Teachers must verify that the winning students were monitored during the online exam and all rules and procedures were followed.

State Semi-Finals/Finals

High School teachers will have access to their team and individual student scores once teams complete the online exams. 

High School teachers may bring one team to the State Semi-Finals/Finals in April.  Teachers may reconstitute the members of their team after the online Challenge.  However, all high school Semi-Finals and Finals participants must have competed in only one of the online exams during either Fall or Spring.  Teams competing in the Finals in April cannot be reconstituted from the Semi-Finals.  Please check the Student Eligibility section under "The Rules"  to ensure your students are eligible to participate in the State Semi-Finals.

Information about the Semi-Finals and Finals in April will be sent to teachers upon conclusion of the online exam windows in the Fall and Spring.
